This is about Stacie and Tom's life together in Marquette, Michigan. We moved here in September 2001 with no jobs, and no place to live (except hotels, lol). We love it up here, and in each post you'll read new and old stories about us!

UP 200

well, ya wait all year for another fun time watching the sled dog races and the temperatures are so extremely cold that it's hard to breathe the cold air. I only got three pictures of the race this year and just one turned out slightly good. I want to try being a musher someday.
This year the UP 200 was cut short due to extreme weather issues, they ran to Grand Marais. Instead of looping all the way thru back to Marquette.

I had my third root canal in one year. Blah.

Carol and I went for a Cross-Country ski this afternoon at Presque Isle. It was sooooo great taking some time off from work to go play. We saw three deer. The first two were about 50-60 feet from us. They were eating and they looked at us and never flinched to run away!

It's Perry's First birthday

Our Perry dog is one year old today.
I took him for a short walk this morning and tonite he will get a cupcake with a candle to blow out (or eat, whichever he wants to do).

He's got 4 treats on his nose, waiting for me to say "OK!"

same ol' day - not much new

I am so bored. Work couldnt be any slower right now.
Somedays, it's busy, somedays it's like where is everybody?

We've been getting some good snow for the past two days. We need it.
I have been painting the tv room walls. It's going to be woodsie feeling in the basement.
There's a couple of places where the previous owner didnt put any trim, so the edge of drywall is showing. It's kind of in a spot where trim wouldnt look good anyways... so i'm going to put fake Lichen/ moss stuff in there. I will take a picture once i get it in.

what else...
UP 200 Sled dog races are coming up. That should be fun.
I haven't been doing much. Just working. It is starting to stay lighter - later now.
For a while there, I leave for work it's dark. I go home from work and it's dark again.

Tom and i watched the movie "Grizzleyman", it's the movie about the guy that lived with bears and loved them and was trying to protect them, but then got eaten by a bear.
That guy was a nut. Interesting movie. I'd see it again, just to see that guy be all weird-0 again!
