This is about Stacie and Tom's life together in Marquette, Michigan. We moved here in September 2001 with no jobs, and no place to live (except hotels, lol). We love it up here, and in each post you'll read new and old stories about us!

Mother/Daughter Trip 2007

We went to Rochester Hills area.
Ate at BD's Mongolian BBQ. That Place was awesome!

Had a salon day at an Aveda Salon.

Went shopping!!
Then we ate dinner at the Grosse Pointe Yacht Club. YUM! and FANCY!
The last morning there, we went to the Renaissance Festival.

That was strange and fun.

Me, doing all the work

Here are some moments that prove I (Stacie) have been doing all the work on the house.
This is me nailing in a new tongue and groove ceiling.

Me framing in a new wall.

And here is TOM!

the unhappy homeowner (part two)

GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!
Our basement flooded.

I'm ready to get off this ride now.

UPDATE:
It was a broken line.
Tom just called with an update.
He went home this afternoon to work on the house a little.
He turned on the outside water valve to mix some concrete...
and came into the house to find 2 inches and growing of water.

Most of it happened in the room where the cat litter and storage is, but lots
did seep into the entry room and fireplace room.
Maybe insurance will cover replacing the flooring?

So, the UPDATE is the line broke right in half.
Luckily, there is a shut off valve for that line and we can still use our inside house water.
He's gonna go to Menards now and see if he can find a replacement for it.

this house I tell you!
You go to work on one thing and another thing goes wrong.
So, you have to fix that, before you can work on what you started to do in the first place!
It's a big vicious cycle.
