This is about Stacie and Tom's life together in Marquette, Michigan. We moved here in September 2001 with no jobs, and no place to live (except hotels, lol). We love it up here, and in each post you'll read new and old stories about us!

5 Years

Today is our 5 year anniversary!
Tonite we are having Nachos for our dinner.
As I mentioned in a previous post "I LOVE NACHO NIGHT!"
almost as much as I love my husband, of course :)

and although we became unaturally close with our creepy land crawler friend, it was not invited for dinner tonite. I just hope it won't hold a grudge against us for long. (you know how slimy a grudge can be!)

I'm 34 now

34 doesn't feel much different than when i was in my twenties.
I got 3 gift certificates from Tom. One to Bath and Body works, Kohls, and Pier One.
He also got me some totally kool Camoflage pants.
It's great because now i can walk around in my camo's and not worry about being seen. heehee bad joke.
My mom totally went overboard on the gifts this year. I got a Marzena purse! It is soooooo cool, ilove it. Perry has a fondness towards it too. He loves sniffing it.
And my mom gave us a mega-huge gift certificate to Menards.
We're still trying to decide what to do with it. We could put in new kitchen counter tops(the previous owners did a mosaic style counter-top. It would be cool if it didnt look like crap) or remodel the bathroom...
Well, to ring in my one year older-ness, I've come down with a killer sore throat and sinus congestion. It started out as allergies, then last night my throat started to hurt and be the middle of the night I woke up feeling like I swallowed a wirey scrub pad.

My eyes are watering and nose is dripping all over.
my cue to go now.

early winter?

The leaves are already changing color and dropping here.
I think we're going to have an early winter. Time to get a 4-wheel drive for sure this winter.

Tom's friend Kevin, wife wendy and three kids were up for labor weekend.
It was fun, we had a bon-fire, they went for a kayak and fishing.
Kevin put in a new ceiling fan and outdoor light for us. (he's an electrician)
Our other ceiling fan made grinding noises and the lights would flicker like a strobe light.

OH yeah! It's my birthday tomorrow.
For my birthday eve dinner (tonite) we're eating nachos. -I love nacho night-
and tomorrow we're getting Thai food to take home. -I love thai food night-
and Friday my mom is coming up and we're going to Red Lobster. -I love Red Lobster night-
